TERRA NOVA – a new way forward

In collaboration with Region Gotland’s employment and daily operations, Aguirre & Jonnson led a participatory art project connected to the construction of the LSS accommodation Terra Nova in Visby, Gotland. Through a series of creative workshops, the duo engaged participants in artistic processes, highlighting how collective efforts can actively shape our shared spaces.

The project unfolded through variations of workshops, each offering opportunities to explore and experiment within a shared purpose and direction. Both two- and three-dimensional techniques. Physical and bodily involvement were explored. Experimentation, in this context, meant trying, making mistakes, transforming ideas, and discovering new possibilities. Engaging the whole body in the creative process unleashes imagination and expands artistic potential. The work concluded in an exhibition at the Visby Art Museum.
