Memory Bank

Memory Bank
WORDS for the day – WORDS for the night

Wall installation with table and small canvasses with wheels
Material: Canvas, acrylic paint, plastic tubes, wood, metal, pasta letters, glass jars
Size; varies due to space

Memory Bank reflects on the fragile rhythm between order and chaos, work and rest, day and night. A blue line runs across the wall like a quiet heartbeat of time, a visual schedule where everyday tasks, to-dos, and fragments of memory flow together.

At its center, a large canvas of blue rectangles fades from dark to light, a calendar of color marking the Earth’s slow rotation. Across the canvas, spilling onto the wall, stretches a faint yellow grasshopper, barely visible yet always present, a sign of awareness, a reminder to stay awake within one’s routines.

In front stands a tall nightstand with open drawers revealing alphabet pasta, words waiting to form meaning. Transparent tubes connect the nightstand to small wheeled canvases, carrying silent messages between daytime and dreamtime.

Language, memory, and routine merge into a living system where night spills into day and time folds upon itself, a poetic reminder that balance is never fixed, only found in motion.
